| We probably shouldn't be coding right now. I know that I am the only one who has, but it was stupid. VERY STUPID!!!! I'm sorry for keeping you guys so confused, but I think we should wait until we are all together able to agree on ideas before we actually do any more coding. Right now, we should just really bear down and work on ideas for the game, like plot, spells, etc. I have been doing some serious reading and I have found that by far the best way to set up any program, especially an object-oriented one, would be to write EVERYTHING out first (not write out actual code, but diagram objects and stuff like that). That will be much easier when we are all learning the same material from the same instructor, so I say we keep the coding to a minimum or zero now. Let's talk more about the aspects of the game rather than the coding.
You guys ROCK! | |

| I think I actually have a basis of WHAT to do to get this on the internet. My dad used to program in C++ all the time (but now he doesn't) and he says he's heard of what we want to do (also, he says for C++, getting this to call the internet is like highly advanced programming that most people only attempt after they know like everything there is to C++). I don't know, I think there are a lot of hard things I see in the way. | |

| My dad is a network programmer in C who does this (not with games, but other software) all the time. C is very much like C++, too. He can help us out. Also, where are you going? | |

| OK, it does sound like programming internet capabilities is going to be quite hard, but not impossible. We'll have to try our best to get it working. Worst comes to worst, we can't let people play with others online, and we just make it a single-person RPG.
But, of course, before we do too much coding we should talk about what we want to be in the game. | |
